Almost nine months after Ex Animo was launched, we hit 5,005.

A year ago today, Hillary was still favored by political pundits to win the U.S. Democratic nomination over Barack Obama. Roger Federer’s topseed status was a given at the Grand Slams (save for the French Open). David Archuleta was still Simon Cowell’s choice for American Idol over dark horse David Cook. Brangelina only had four children back then. Mike Arroyo and kids were yet hatching their plot to oust House Speaker Jose de Venecia and the ZTE scandal was fresh.

Fast forward to current time,  Obama has been inaugurated U.S. President. Rafael Nadal has snatched the No. 1 ranking from Federer, along with the coveted Wimbledon cup. David Cook, the 2008 American Idol, will be replaced soon. With the entry of Kara DioGuardi, there are now four American Idol judges who will rub it in the faces of those who are not going to Hollywood. The Jolie-Pitt family has since expanded to six, with the birth of the twins. Oh yes, the First Family is still plotting on how to perpetuate their power.  But newer scandals–stifling in number and gravity–like those involving contractors of World Bank-funded projects as well as the Department of Justice drug-bribery case, have blotted out ZTE from the fickle memory of the Filipino populace.

It didn’t take a year for Ex Animo to have 5,005 hits, though. Thanks to my loyal subscriber base of–what–ten?  :)

I wonder if GMA will still be President by the time Ex Animo has 10,000 hits.

I certainly hope not.
